They ran and hid when they saw me. The gratitude! Apparently they were thinking, "omg, I don't want to go back to that crazy house with 12 other cats! I like it here where I am the center of attention and love!" Oh well, just knowing they are happy is the reward for me. We gave her to our next door neighbors, who adore her, and now she won't give Matt the time of day. Glad to hear Skippy is doing well.
