I didn’t hear about this. How awful! We have a fenced-in yard with a 6 foot fence and even took precautions to ensure they can’t get under. Then we noticed the hawks. Even supervised and taking precautions, the unthinkable can happen. No one would think a coyote would come out in front of her and do that. Okay, someone may have thought of that – but I sure as hell wouldn’t. People suck.

I feel awful for her because no matter how you lose a pet, it’s a terrible, terrible feeling. Still, I probably wouldn’t have let Daisy outside, but them I’m overprotective sort.

People are disturbing. No matter what my personal opinion of her may be, this is an absolutely horrifying way to lose a beloved pet (not as though there is ever an ‘easy’ way) – these people need a lesson in civility or empathy, or both.

Wow, that is one heck of a chihuahua housemate!! I think my other pets would be saying, “Later!”

I really dislike Jessica Simpson, she has made a career out promoting the idea that “stupid” is an atractive quality. That said, I can’t fault her here, she was supervising the dog and coyotes living in suburbia can be pretty bold. I knew a chihuahua that survived such an attack only because his chihuahua housemate went after the coyote.

Yesterday evening I saw a HUGE owl on our property. It’s a good thing that both my dog are LARGE. But I did tell the owl to lay off of them! But I’ve noticed that we have less bunnies that we used to.
