Giveaway Tuesday: Dog is Good IS Good!
Congratulations to our winner, Terri P! Can’t wait to hear what you got!
One of my favorite games to play with co-workers is Who Can Find the Ugliest Scrubs. It’s a pretty easy game since there are so many options. Black cat witches on orange gingham? Check. Frolicking roly poly dachshunds on a sickly sea of seafoam green? Check check. Last year’s winner was a festive holiday top featuring Westies, poinsettias, and plaid that looked like something Aunt Edna took her aggression out on with a bedazzler at the retirement home craft party.
Let’s face it, most scrubs are kind of dorky, which is why I try to stick to unobtrusive solids for lack of better options. And this is exactly why I was so jazzed to get a set of the new Dog Is Good scrubs to review.
Dog is Good is already on my short list of favorite dog apparel, and has been ever since I fell for the “It’s all fun and games until someone ends up in a cone” t-shirt at a vet conference. I wear it at least once a week and I’ve gotten comments on it from everyone from the dentist to the barista. And they all say, “It’s SO TRUE!”
So not only did one of my favorite lines make a set of scrubs, but they made the scrubs with my favorite design from their collection. Major score.
I’m picky about scrubs. I like ones with solid sewn on sleeves instead of being cut in one big t-shaped panel. I like them to be soft instead of stiff like a lot of cheap ones tend to be. I like pockets by the hips instead of over the chest, because I don’t know about you, but I hate pens sticking out under my chin. Plus I hide cookies in my pockets and it’s an awkward place to constantly be reaching.
And lastly, personal preference, but I like darker colors because it hides the ever-present various things we get stained with much better. And this fits the bill on every one of those items. I didn’t get a chance to film anything with Brody this weekend, but I’ll wear them in my next technical video about ear cleaning or oral exams or any of those many things Brody would love for me to show you.
I will agree with the comment in their sizing info that these scrubs run large: they do! You can size down easily and still have plenty of room to move about in. The t-shirts, at least the ones I have, run true to size.
And now for the really Good Stuff:
