How did a year go by already?

September 1, 2010 by Dr. V

The first day of September is like this abrupt line of demarcation between the lazy days of summer and the impending days of winter. Boom, one day you’re floating in the pool and the next day you’re panicking about getting Halloween decorations out and ready. How did so much of this year slide by already?

I have some very important decisions to make within the next month. Namely:

1. Am I doing another Brody calendar this year? (well, it would be Brody and Koa this time.)

2. What Halloween costume will I subject the animals to this year? (I have a rockin’ idea for Koa already, I’m just figuring out the logistics.) Now that the kids are stubborn enough to insist on their own choice of outfits, I must turn my creative mania upon the unsuspecting quadripeds instead.

3. Should I subject myself to another Thanksgiving Blogathon or was that a one time shot?

These are weighty issues. I am open to any and all input.

Yes on Calendar, Yes on Blogathon, and how ’bout coordinating costumes for the pups?

I think I’m going to dress Shorty up like a squirrel since he chases them.

HUGE YES on the calendar! Koa has to have her time to shine as a calendar girl! Would love to take part in the blogathon again, but that was a major time/energy commitment on your part, so I feel that has to be your decision.
And I’m not that creative on the Halloween costume front, but I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Love seeing your pups in costume! 🙂

+1 on that. I loved the blogathon, but I know what a commitment it was. If you decide to do it, though, I have a topic request (for which actually you could get a guest blogger if you were so inclined…..). Let me know if you want suggestions! 🙂

YES on the Brody and Koa calendar. My B calendar makes me smile every single day. I also bought one for my aunt who is VERY hard to buy for (she has everything) but she loves hers too.

YES on the blog-a-thon. It will be bigger, better and badder this year.

    Costumes – surprise me! 🙂

I, too, think the calendar is a MUST and should feature Brody and Koa. I have mine hanging up at work, and everyone comments on it. I look at it daily to remind myself of what’s important 🙂

I didn’t see the calendar before but I’d love to see it this year!

The calendar is an absolute must. I need my Brody (and soon to be Koa) fix everyday at work!

    Yes.
    Thinking about it.
And yes! I will be happy to help with the Blogathon again and maybe Ana would do another kick off chat about shelters. I’ll ask if you’re game.

Calendar = Body and Koa and Apollo!

I agree with that! Apollo would be an awesome addition to the calendar!

Calendar, YES! My weiners have their standard hot dog with mustard and hot dog with ketchup Halloween costumes 🙂

I’d love to see the calendar. I’ve only been reading the blog for the last few months so would love to see the calendar business and agree that Koa deserves some time in the spotlight.

Also not familiar with the blogathon but it sounds very cool.

I want to dress up my Boston Terrier Hamlet for Halloween but not sure what to do. My boyfriend suggested the Monopoly Man (since his black and white coloring is already tuxedo-esque). We’ll see…
