Calming Collars Giveaway Number Two!

November 14, 2010 by Dr. V

Due to the overwhelming response to the earlier post about Calming Collars, Deb has agreed make a $5 donation to “the puppy for Bradyn” for each Calming Collar purchase this month that mentions Dr. V or Pawcurious or even Blogathon2010 (there is a “how we heard about you” box in checkout). Thank you Deb!

This is your second chance to win the item of your choice from Calming Collars.

Let’s make this one a happy post. Despite your pet’s anxiety issues (else you wouldn’t be commenting to win, right?) what is the joy that they bring you?

For me, it’s Koa standing behind the exam room door every time I open it. She just stands there, waiting for me to come out. Then when I open the door, she’s wagging her tail like she hasn’t seen me for 3 years instead of 10 minutes.

My lab can melt away the stress of a bad day at work. A few licks in the face is usually all it takes.

I’m thinking this might be a good thing to have on hand (maybe to clip on the ceiling of the kennel) for our new pup when we bring him home. I’m sure he will be anxious! The joy right now is mostly a feeling of hope. After losing my previous dog, I find that thinking about, researching, and preparing for my new dog REALLY gives me a lift. I can’t wait to get my hands on him – just a few short weeks away!

For me? Shadow sitting on my lap and shoving his whole head into my neck so he can be close enough.

my newest dog, Pickle (a lab/bassett mix), is just so happy and bouncy. Seeing her excited about the littlest thing, like a nylabone or antler, and her reaction always brings a smile to my face. She is a true joy to have and I fall in love with her more every day. Plus, she LOVES to snuggle and her coat is super soft, so the snuggle time is another joyful bonus!

She has the most emotional face that you can almost see through her eyes, like windows, to her soul.

I love coming upstairs in the morning to see Shiva waiting for me at the top step. As soon as she sees me her butt starts to wiggle. No matter how tired I am, it always makes me smile.

I know the drawing has already been done (darn!), but I still have to comment on this. 🙂

My lab/Dane mix does her trademark “lean of love” against me all the time. Never fails to bring a smile to my face.

We always tell our Sheltie (Dakota) that he is “romantic”….he is ALL ABOUT LICKING!! When we say “are you romantic?” He immediately gives us a gentle and loving face-wash….he also gives the BEST pedis EVER! You take off your sock and our little spa-boy goes to work….he even gets the toe jambs!! lol…his tongue is the BEST emery board EVER!!
