Happy surprises part 3: The cooking segment

November 11, 2010 by Dr. V

I wasn’t sure how I could top eating dog food without actually, you know, eating a bully stick or something (NOT gonna happen) but I finally figured out a way to do so without actually going full ‘Fear Factor’.

So for the next day, I need to dream up some delightful recipes using…..da da da….

CAT LITTER!

Yes, I will be doing a cooking segment live on the blog, featuring some World’s Best Cat Litter as a featured ingredient. Come on, it’s not any weirder than some of the stuff they use on Iron Chef!

All right, now before you start screaming and running away, a couple points to clarify:

  • It’s World’s Best Cat Litter, which is made from corn, so it’s not toxic to ingest.
  • It will be fresh cat litter, ok? I’m not a lunatic.
  • I also have no desire to go to the ER with an impaction, so I’m not eating for volume here. I have no idea how I’m going to use it yet, but it will probably be the weirdest cooking segment ever. And that is OK, because I like wacky.

World’s Best Cat Litter REALLY IS the World’s Best Cat Litter! We switched a few months ago and will NEVER use anything else again. The stuff is amazing!

Well…it sort of looks like Couscous…how about Black Bean and Couscous Salad…http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/black-bean-and-couscous-salad/Detail.aspx
and then you could just eat the beans and veggies–you know, move the rest around your plate like a kid.

I am reminded of Ren & Stimpy’s Gritty Kitty Cat Litter. Absorbant and tasty with milk.
