Sleepypod Yummy Bowls Review

Back to School Week continues with a stylish offering from one of my favorite designers of modern pet accessories: Sleepypod’s Yummy Travel Bowls!

I have a dog who, despite his low-maintenance background as a retriever, is much too fussy to actually drink water from a bottle and prefers it to be delicately decanted into a bowl. Preferably chilled.

Whenever we go for a walk, this means I have to remember to bring his travel bowl. This offering from Sleepypod is my new favorite, for a few reasons:

• it’s sturdy (I hate those flimsy ones that bend as soon as you put water in them and spill all over the car)
• it allows you to carry food and water together, in a sealed package
• it’s covered
• it’s cute

It matches my blog. I can’t help it. I love that. They have other colors, too, if teal isn’t your thing.

The lid flips over and turns into a teacup.

The middle comes out too, so now you have a three course place setting. I love the idea of being able to pack an entire meal all together in one package and throwing it in the car without having to fuss with multiple bowls and baggies.

My Yummy bowl brings all the dogs to the yard. They suggest filling the saucer with water to prevent ants, if you’re going to be using it outside.

That assumes food in your house lasts more than 10 seconds. It doesn’t here.

They were sturdy enough to handle what the dogs did to them over the next 30 seconds without tipping over, which is very impressive.

The Yummy Bowl will be available this month and comes in 4 colors. They are made of food grade silicone that is microwave and dishwasher safe.

And they just look happy, don’t they?
