Scenes from a holiday

December 29, 2011 by Dr. V

The holidays are exhilirating.

Well, for most of us, at least.

Some find them merely exhausting.

While others use them as a time to indulge in the most ironic of activities, such as opening a “Good Dog” ornament from under the tree and chewing it up.

Indeed.

Hope you all had a great one!

I can’t help but wonder how long Brody kept that hat on his head? And Koa with the collapsed antlers looks a bit p’d off; maybe she’d had enough of the festivities for a while and head-under-the-garbage-bag was her signal that she wanted a bit of “me” time.

My dog sometimes hides her head in some really odd places and I figure she thinks that if she can’t see me then I can’t see her, and she will have some uninterrupted time for herself, to ponder whatever it is dogs ponder.

We had a lovely holiday, as I hope you and your family did. The expensive new toy got only a token play, while the dog chocolates merited much more attention, even unopened. Sigh.

The hat stayed on, hmmm, 4-5 seconds tops?

I have that same ornament, and it still has the same picture of the cute puppy in it! I really did intend to replace it with one of my own dog, but time got away from me.

Poor Koa! She looks overwhelmed by the holidays! Brody, on the other hand, looks as michievous as ever!

And is it all chewed up too?

How can we tell home is where the dog is if it hasn’t been chewed on by said dog, right? 🙂
