Thousand Post Giveaway: Joy Pet Products Doggie Coat!

December 30, 2011 by Dr. V

I can hardly believe it myself, but I’ve just passed the thousand post mark on the blog. That’s a lot of hammering on the keyboard. What a cool benchmark to ring in 2012! Thank you for sticking with me through all of it- the good, the sad, and the goofy.

I know lots of you are reading this from chillier climates than mine, so to celebrate, we’re having a giveaway of one Original Goose Down Filled Doggie Coat from Joy Pet Products!

Our Original Goose Down Filled Doggie Coats are so unique they have two US Patents! Filled with 550 fill power white goose down – no inexpensive feather down blends here – the Original Goose Down Filled Doggie Coat features cozy fleece reversing to water resistant nylon for two different looks. Quick and easy on and off with two secure Velcro closures. Offering a very adjustable fit, easy wash and dry care and plenty of hip coverage, this coat will help keep your best friend warm and dry when temperatures dip. Smaller sizes are available with an opening for the lead to pass through.  Sizes XS through XL.   Made in Canada or USA .

These coats normally retail for $79- $100, but there’s a huge end-of-the-year sale going on right now, so even if you don’t win the giveaway, this is a chance to get a coat for HALF off! Almost makes me wish we lived somewhere it snowed, because Koa would look stunning in leopard print. I’m just sayin’.

Enter below! For the blog comment just let me know who you want to win this for. Winner will notify Joy Pet Products of the size (size chart here) and Joy Pet Products will choose the color from available stock. Good luck!

Would love to win this for my hungarian vizsla. I am yet to find a coat that will keep her warm. She has an auto immune disease and feels the cold really easily. Hoping goose down would do the trick!

I would love to win this for my friend Kelsey and one of her dogs. She’s found herself in the frozen north with two dogs who aren’t used to the cold and don’t have a lot of hair. I know they could really use it!

I’d like to win this for my Rat Terrier, Neo. We don’t get too cold here, but he has such a thin coat that he freezes outside regardless.

This would keep my Maltese, Rugby, extra warm the next few months. Especially when we go out in the snow!

I would like to win this for my Shar pei/Mastiff mutt, Rizzo…she doesn’t stay as warm as my Siberian in our oh-so-cold Winnipeg temperatures!!

Clyde, my black Lab, would be stylin’ in one of these, just like the cutie in the first picture! He would love to win one after the last two winters we’ve had here in the Kansas City area.

With three dogs it would be great to win one. But our 15 year old beagle would sure like one for N.Y. Winters.

Those are beautiful coats! I think my Newf would absolutely hate me if I even entered the giveaway…. he keeps wondering why we haven’t gotten any snow yet…

This coat would be for my dog Kimo. He is a half chihuahua, half JRT who is always shivering. His favorite Christmas present this year was a heater blanket.

My chocolate lab Layla would appreciate this. She absolutely loves snow and tends to bounce all over the place and bury herself in it with the happiest expression on her face. She just has to come in because she gets too cold. This would be perfect!

Hmm, which doggie should get this? I’m torn, LOL! I would say that my Dalmatian mix needs a new coat, so a Large size is probably appropriate. Thanks for the opportunity!

My heart dog, Daisy (a beagle), is almost 10 years old, and she hates the cold! We live in Ohio, so it’s been getting colder for a while now and it’s a struggle to get her to go outside. She loves to cuddle on the couch under a blanket with whoever is sitting there! She is my therapy dog, my crisis response dog, my rally and obedience competition dog and the love of my life. I adopted her from a shelter when she was a puppy because her first family said she was too much trouble….the rest, as they say, is history. Thank you so much for another great contest!!!

The coat would be for my service dog,Josephine. I have epilepsy, and she is my seizure alert dog,and is with me everywhere I go,24/7. She is a miniature Pinscher (a little overweight one at that)! She get cold pretty easily, and this would be perfect for her, because it would fit over her service dog vest, for when we are outside, before we go into a store, church, etc. She would definitely love one of these and wear it proudly! Anything for my beloved Josephine,Love you Josie!!!!

People say dogs have natural fur and so they don’t get cold. Not so. Bear shivers each time it is cold outside when he goes out. That’s why they have those commercials to bring your animals in during the cold weather. Yep, bear loves to wear clothes to keep warm…we usually use my sons old clothes and fix em so they work on him. He would love a coat for the winter…so he can go on longer walks.

I’d love to win this for my mini-mutt Bogey. He has really short fur and that doesn’t really work during Ohio’s cold winters. We have sweaters and jackets for him, but they’re the cheap kind you find at Walmart. A nice down filled coat would be wonderful for him!

PETA’s presiding mentality on pets appears to overlap that of a hoarder at the motivational level: obsessive control of pets and an almost phobic aversion to risk when it comes to trusting the public with the care of animals.
