Giveaway Tuesday: Goodies from Kyjen!

January 17, 2012 by Dr. V

We go through a lot of dog toys in these parts, and I can say with confidence that Brody has yet to come across a Kyjen toy he didn’t love. They’re fun, they’re well-made, and they have interesting configurations that engage the dog in a way different from standard toys, either with a big mat of squeakers or hidden eggs or an unusual food puzzle. To this day Brody’s penguin egg is the only toy I have actually ordered replacement parts for. He loves it that much. So today, I’m happy to be giving you all several opportunities for some fantastic goodies from this great company.

The first giveaway is for an Excursion Dog Backpack, size M. I actually used this as a demo in the news story I’ll post the video of tomorrow, so the tag is removed. It’s a great backpack and I was tempted to not give it away, but the medium is for a size 18-50 pound dog so Brody really needs a large. I’m sure one of you will have lots of good times with it backpacking in Nepal or something along those lines.

The second giveaway is for not one, not two, but THREE random selections of Kyjen goodies. Each of the three winners will each get three items that could be any combination of the following:Β

  • Puzzle Toy
  • Softie Bee
  • Invincible Squeaker Toys
  • Seamsters Weave Bone

Brody is forlorn that I’m not keeping the entire stash for him- devastated, really- but I’m trying to teach him about the importance of sharing. πŸ™‚ I’ve road tested every one of those items and they have all been a hit in this house.

So there are two entry forms; one of the backpack and one for the toy pack. Feel free to enter both! Good luck!

This is a very timely post. I’ve been wanting a puzzle toy for my dog for months now and just decided the other day that he needs a backpack for when we go hiking. Perfect!

The backpack would be for my Corgi Bean, as long as it doesn’t sit too far down his back

    Favorite toy? Puzzle toys!

  4. Tiffany says

My fave toy is the invincible squeaker toy. My dog’s favorite thing to do with toys is just sit there and squeak them; I think he’d love it. πŸ™‚

Doesn’t matter what the lab likes, the shepherd mix will take it over. The mix would probably like whatever Brody likes best; he’s a covet-er. πŸ™‚

Love Kyjen toys, especially the food dispensing puzzles. I have a very smart, very active dog, and it is a wonderful thing when he has to work for his food! πŸ™‚

Our swissies love the softies – they can sit and squeak them for hours at a time. More fun for them than for us…

  8. Jamie says

    January 17, 2012 at 7:24 am

We bought the invincible squeaker snake toy for our dogs last summer sometime. They LOVED that silly thing… though my ears did not, LOL! They finally opened it all up and just threw the squeakers around since that’s all they wanted anyway.

The new puppy will definitely need some new toys!

My Rory would just LOVE more toys! πŸ™‚ He is too big for the backpack so toys it is.

I already have a backpack for Gilbert – only used it a few times, but I notice he really does walk better on a leash since he seems to know he has a “job.” Gilbert would LOVE any of the puzzle toys – he’s not crazy for soft toys or squeaky balls, but he loves his treat ball which he has to push around to make the treats fall out.

His absolute favorite is his hedgehog plushie. That is now his favorite. it was the bungee weiner dog until it broke. I think we pulled a little too hard. LOL

We would love to win a puzzle toy!! I have a feeling anything else my dogs would destroy in mere minutes…they’re not allowed to have anything plush at all! Plus, they each already have a backpack πŸ™‚

Oh… forgot to answer the questions πŸ˜€

The backpack would be for my hubby’s cousin (they just got a golden, so the medium would work for a little while— he’s only 4 months old right now)

My favorite of the Kyjen toys are the puzzles. (hard to pick one— just love the idea of making them think and work for the treat)

  32. Jennifer M says

    January 17, 2012 at 11:05 am

Thank you for this opportunity! Winston could definitely use the backpack as his Aussie energy seems endless!

  33. Linda says

  34. Debbie says

  35. Lisa says

Kolchak Puggle loves his egg buddies more than words express. We have three or four of them and he never gets tired of getting them out (so I can put them back in.) The whole thing is reminiscent of a toddler throwing their cup off the highchair, but seeing how much he loves it is totally worth it.

We love the squirrels and their “house.” Our mini dachshunds, of course, love to chase squirrels, so this is the perfect toy. Kyjen toys are so well made that they haven’t destroyed them yet! That makes them the best in our opinion!!

The backpack would be for our Jedi…I am always saying that he needs a “job” and the backpack would be a perfect gift to help him out!!

that is a hard question to answer, i just purchased the skunk tail teaser, it only lasted abt 3 wks….my youngest is very hard on toys. she has destroyed over 10 toys and she is just over a yr old. all 3 are min. schnauzers. i would love to have a puzzle, but they like squeaky toys. i like the squeaker mats, the egg babies,-penquin and the pip squeeks.
