The Realtor, by Edgar Labby Koe

May 1, 2012 by Dr. V

Once upon a midday dreary, home from working, weak and weary, Staring with resentment at the “For Sale” sign perched near the door, While I Facebooked, blogged and Tweeted, on the sofa, softly seated, Suddenly I felt quite heated, heated staring at the floor. “Tis an old juice box,” I muttered, “sitting crumpled on the floor- Garbage there, it makes me sore.” Ah, so clearly I recall that it was in the chill of fall, And each separate messy creature wrought its carnage on the ... YOU get a new car, and YOU get a new car…

November 16, 2011 by Dr. V

I miss Oprah's favorite things show. That was the best show ever, and also how I ended up with a pile of things I never knew I HAD TO HAVE until Oprah said I had to have them. That is how I wound up with a quilted pink Burberry jacket six years ago, and I don't even like pink. Anyway. Giving stuff away is fun. I spent all day yesterday sorting through the giveaways to pick winners, and to make my life easier I'm listing them all here: Biscuits by Lambchop giveaway: Susan ... Read more »

Banner Day

August 26, 2011 by Dr. V

It's National Dog Day. I am in DC bunkered in for the storm of the century with the greatest people in the world at BlogPaws. There is no one else I would rather weather Pawmageddon with. And it's my birthday. Like I said, banner day! I would love if you post something delightful in the comments today. Cupcakes, ice cream, puppies, otters, you name it. ... Read more »

Holy cannoli spicy guacamole

February 2, 2011 by Dr. V

To steal my 4 year old son's favorite saying. It's been TWO YEARS since I started this blog! Two years since my inaugural post about the dog who pulled my shirt down in front of the surly bulldog owner, and it's been downhill ever since. Lots of things have changed, the passages of life we all deal with when we have animal companions, hellos and goodbyes and the like. Even those things that remain the same have evolved over time, my children growing up and teaching me about myself, the ... Read more »

The Pet Blogger Challenge: State of the Pawion

January 11, 2011 by Dr. V

Under the wire as usual, I forgot about the Pet Blogger Challenge from Will My Dog Hate Me and Go Pet Friendly until today when all the posts started showing up! I call this "stream of consciousness blogging." 1. When did you begin your blog? February 2, 2009. Shoot, our anniversary is coming up! I better plan something! Got any ideas? 2. What was your original purpose for starting a blog? I've been blogging on LiveJournal for years, so this was just a logical next step. I was kind ... Read more »

December 30, 2010 by Dr. V

With only one day left in the year, it's time to dust off the old archives and pull out my favorite posts from the last 12 months. These represent the best, or just the most fun, of what we do here. :) So without further ado and in no particular order, here are my choices for the Top 10 Posts of the Year: There's One in Every Office: A Pet Doctor Barbie Post It's not that often I make myself laugh out loud with my own posts, but something about the Wicked Witch shoving the broom in the ...
