After 5 days back in the comforts of home, I've become mildly alarmed at the state of my arms. I thought my various bites and lesions would be resolved within a few days, but here we are Friday and I still look like I have chicken pox. Yes, it's better, but it's still enough for me to get the stink eye if I don't cover up when I go outside. By now I'm assuming many of you have seen Denver the Guilty dog. If not, it's worth it. The behaviorists will tell you, over and over again: Stop anthropomorphizing your pets. They do not feel shame or guilt. I don't know about that. My front yard is currently in a tremendous state of disrepair, due to a nasty trio of invasive ficus trees, an endangered water main and a threatening note from the homeowners association about the one brick that was out of place.
