Who’s a little pumpkin- Giveaway!

October 18, 2010 by Dr. V

Congratulations to the winner, Melanie!

If you didn’t see my Sunday post, I’m trying to post daily reader pics of pets in costumes from now until Halloween. If you haven’t uploaded yours yet, I have a group over at Flickr (non-Halloween pictures are welcome too!)

That is also where I will have participants upload their pictures for the 12 Days of Petmas, which I will be doing again this year because it was so much fun last time around.

If you don’t have a costume for your pet, there’s still time! We got ours set and photographed this weekend. They turned out pretty hysterical, though it took us almost an entire bag of treats to bribe them to hold still for the shoot.

You could perhaps have your dog be a Spicy Taco.

Black dogs, despite their reputation as difficult to photograph, make AWESOME skunks and spiders.

Costumed Dog

If you’re a groomer with oodles of time on your hands, you could always go for this infamous style:

If you or your pet has no patience for those shenanigans, you can still go for the standard Halloween collar or bandana.

Or, if you happen to have a pet who fits in a size large, I have an extra, brand new Pumpkin costume up for grabs. If you would like it, please leave a comment below and I will pick a winner on Friday.

Hi Y’all, Loved it! Laughed and gave my Chessie grin! Just don’t want the Humans to get any ideas from this! I submitted to being photographed at the orchard for the Thanksgiving card! That’s as far as I go!
    Y’all come by now!

I’d love a pumpkin costume. It would save me some time and money with 5 dogs and two kids to outfit for the big day 😀

Cookie would be so embarrassed to be a pumpkin…which is why it’s perfect for her. LOL!

Me! Me! I’d love a large pumpkin costume. None of my local stores seems to carry anything for larger dogs. It’s been tough embarassing the pooch.

Haven’t been able to think of anything for Chuck yet this year, but I LOVE the skunk idea (especially since he chased and caught a skunk earlier this year – THAT was fun ugh). The pumpkin costume is so cute, I’d love to see him in that!

I would love to put Garfunkel in a costume! I had my eye on a banana costume that I thought would look fabulous against Funk’s black fur but my husband wasn’t willing to part with any money when my dog would just be miserable. ;o) A free pumpkin might be just the ticket!

I’m imagining the looks on the cows’ faces as Smooch goes walking down the road looking like a pumpkin. *snort*

If we don’t win the pumpkin costume, I’m definitely going for the skunk. That’s awesome! How does one safely get a white stripe down a dog’s back, though?

Oooooh, I have three dogs that would love to take turns wearing that pumpkin:)
