Giveaway: Dog Angel Jewelry

November 14, 2010 by Dr. V

And the winner, courtesty of random.org is…drumroll please…..comment #8, Laura Z! Congratulations! I will catch up with you after the blogathon and get you set.

This is a really special giveaway from Amy Valentine at Dog Angel Jewelry. I was fortunate enough to be gifted with one of her Best Dog Ever cuff bracelets in honor of Emmett and I wear it all the time.

Dog Angel Jewelry was founded by veterinarian and jewelry artist, Amy Valentine, following the loss of her beloved dogs, Maggie and Chloe. Her sadness was gradually healed, in part, through the artistic process of creating pet loss commemorative jewelry for herself, members of her family, neighbors and friends. Today, the website for Dog Angel Jewelry is an online resource for others who have experienced the loss of a beloved pet.

This dog inspired pawprint lock and key pendant is handmade of fine silver in the form of precious metal clay and measures approximately 3/4″ L and 3/8″ W. The key is pressed from a mold made from a vintage brass key, and the pawprint lock is an exclusive Dog Angel Jewelry design. The fine silver has been gently oxidized and brushed softly to a warm glow finish. Both key and pawprint lock are flush and smooth on the opposite side. This delightful and whimsical pendant is suspended from an 18″ sterling silver bead chain with a bead connector clasp.

If you haven’t gotten a chance yet, run over to her Facebook fan page– every new fan will generate a $1 donation to Bradyn, up to $350- but only until the end of the blogathon!

The official way to enter is simply this: Tell me in the comments, who hold the key to your heart?

Contest open until 11:30 PST.

All of my animals hold pieces of the key to my heart. There are some humans that also hold pieces of the key too, but my pets hold the biggest parts.

That is simple: Zoom! (and perhaps a tiny corner is reserved for chocolate)

Davinia and Indiana both hold the key to my heart.

We became fans of theirs last night.

Well, it’s no surprise to anyone that Bailey will always be my heart dog. I have a friend who lost her heart dog, Thumper, a couple of months ago, and if I win this giveaway the pendant will be for her. I adore the dog angel cuff that I got for Bailey!

Shaq held the key to my heart for 12 years, and he took it with him. I bought one of those beautiful “Best Dog Ever” cuff bracelets in his memory, and I love it! Clyde has been with us for almost 3 years now, and he’s getting to the point where he might need his own key before too much longer. πŸ˜‰

Aww, Starlet holds the key to my heart! And Lambchop has the original key! Wasn’t it sweet of him to give copy of the key to her? xoxo Lamby xoxo

Theo is my first dog as an adult, and he currently holds the key to my heart. Before that was our family dog- Cole. She was the most amazing friend to me growing us, and when I wasn’t there when she passed I was devistated. Theo is now the love of my life, but he is only 2 so I hope I have a long time before I have to deal with a whole new level of devistation.

Both Perry and Samson hold the key to my heart, although Sam took it with him on August 25th. But that’s ok, he lives on in my heart so he can keep the key. Love and miss that dog. πŸ™‚

Amelia does right now, but I suspect there may be more than one key to the lock. πŸ™‚

My dogs, those I’ve loved as an adult, each hold a piece of my heart. One day I am sure we will all ne together OTRB. But a huge part of my heart will always belong to the over the years. I will always be grateful for the opportunities they gave me to love unconditionally & to help with an open heart.

Not sure where the middle of this sentence went but it’s important so I have to edit:
“But a huge part of my heart will always belong to the over 100 foster dogs I was privileged to know over the
    years

Every animal I have ever known has had a key to unlock my heart and walk right in. It’s getting pretty full in there, but there’s always room for more.

Well, I have to say that my husband holds the key to my heart, as he is so supportive (and patient) of everything animal that is part of my life. But Weebles holds a really close second πŸ™‚

Currently my mutt Lily holds the key to my heart. She is such a sweet companion! But I often think of the pups I’ve lost, Radar the handsome red corgi and Alex the sweetest sable sheltie. And then there’s my sweet kitties, especially Spice who had FIP, he was the greatest kitty!

It’s gotta be the hound – my Max factor. My boyfriend (Matt) Rescued him at 6 years old so there was no changing his name – don’t think I don’t get their names mixed up sometimes πŸ™‚
