Winners: Wipes go to Jeanie and the Furminator to our very last entry, Tina! Congratulations!
With the holidays coming up, the last thing you want is a stinky pet cuddling up to Santa and scaring him off with her delightful doggie odor before he gets a chance to leave the goodies under the tree. To that effect, I have declared today the Pawcurious Day of Beauty with some super pampering giveaway items to keep everyone squeaky clean!
Giveaway Number One: Wipe that Frown Upside Down with John Paul Pet
Paul Mitchell is a leader in the human grooming world, so it only makes sense that they would develop a line for our furry compadres as well. (The Tearless Shampoo made its holiday debut in our house last week to great effect when my four year old translated “Don’t let Brody out, it’s too muddy” as “Take Brody outside yourself and discover the mud puddles as a team.” We both smelled like a million bucks after that debacle.)
For you, I have a a duet to keep your pet’s face a happy haven: John Paul Tooth and Gum Wipes and Ear and Eye Wipes. I like wipes- they’re convenient, disposable, and although nothing beats tooth brushing and dental cleanings, any activity to debride that yucky tartar off is going to make a difference.
Each container has 45 wipes, so there are 90 total.*
Giveaway Number Two: Tumbleweed Eradication Device
I also have in hand my favorite grooming device of all time: a Furminator. I’m not one to notice grooming items a whole lot, but this really is a standout tool and I tell owners about it all the time. It’s so effective at removing undercoat that I’ve learned to use it outside, lest I spend the next hour vacuuming up the vast piles of fur that get ejected out onto the floor.
The winner of this giveaway gets a brand new deluxe cat Furminator. (It’s a bit small for dogs, but you could certainly use it on one if you wanted.)
To enter, simply comment below with which giveaway you want to enter: the wipes, the Furminator, or both. Any additional commentary is optional though certainly encouraged as I like a good furball story as much as the next guy. Contest closes Thursday 12/9 at 1 am pst.
Lucy says
Furminator please! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats – one of which is a 22lb DLH. We have furrrr everywhere!
Tonya says
I saw the Paul Mitchell dog products at Sally’s Beauty Supply and was intrigued! Clyde would love to be a Paul Mitchell dog. 🙂 I will pick up the shampoo to go along with the wipes if he wins. Heck, I might even pick up the shampoo for him if he doesn’t win! 🙂
Kelly says
I would love the wipes – they would be great for my boxer, Ricky Bobby!
Chile says
ooooh Cookie wants to be a Paul Mitchell user like her momma.
Kellee says
Wow, would love the Paul Mitchell set. I can attest to the Furminator’s excellence as each time I use it on my Corgi, I can knit a sweater with all the hair that comes out on the carpet! Good luck everyone 🙂
Kim says
Oh, I SO need that Furminator! Mine has gone missing, and the shedding around the house (and in the car!!) has multiplied one-thousand-fold!!!! HELP!!!
Tess619 says
I would LOVE the Furminator! I’ve heard nothing but good things about it & would love to test it out.
Selena says
Would LOVE the funrminatior but……I think it would be alittle small for a 95 lb rottie or an 80 lb pit mix!! LOL So Paul Mitchell it is for me!! Thanks!
kristen says
Enter me for both!!! I have an old Chow mix that hates being groomed, so I have avoided taking her in, but she’s looking pretty rough now!
Brenda Klingler says
Oh, please pick me and my six rescued furballs. We would love to have the Paul Mitchell set. We already have a Furminator and don’t want to be selfish.
Adie says
My boxer boy would love LOVE the eye and ear wipes! Smushy face dogs like this boxer of mine are always getting dirt and sand and stuff in those folds on their faces. His face gets irritated and I bet these would help! He could also benefit from being furminated. He’s brown, my couch is white…you see where this is headed? Thanks PAWcurious!
Karen says
I would love the furminator!! 😀
Tabitha W says
OHHH the wipes would be perfect. All our cats have constant weepy eyes (dont worry, got it check ok they are ok!) and the wipes would be great!! Not to mention tooth cleaning.
See Magoo, my 5 year old fur baby recently had 5 teeth out!! Yup 5. It was a long surgery, however he was fine. Magoo is a special boy, and hates the vet. While at the vet they tried to restrain him and he broke the harness, leash and the hook it was attached too by doing his famous “death roll”. Just look up old videos of the croc. hunter to see what I am talking about. After the surgery we were told to continue to brush his teeth. Yup, thats not happening. No tooth brush for death roll kitty. So i often find myself using my finger and some tissue, that is if I am not getting the paw for denial. That would be when he pushes me away several thousand times. But ohhh do I love him.
Carol says
I could sure use the Furminator. With a dog and 2 cats, the hairballs roll through my house like tumbleweeds in a old western.
Tiffany says
I’d like to enter for the Furminator! I have a cat and a small dog, so it could probably work for the both of them.
Thanks!
Miranda says
I’d like the wipes! We have a furminator already, they are worth the money!
Jeanie says
I would love the wipes. I have two dogs who would like those:)
Tricia Carter says
I have the furminator. It works AWESOME. You have to be devoted. And I use the excuse of mud — and shut the doggie door — on my poor dogs. So I think John Paul Pet would be what I need – THEY need. So #1 is our what we want to enter for…………..they can could go outside………..anytime they wanted. Thanks for having a giveaway. glad to know i’m not the only one that keeps them in during a muddy spell 🙂
Laia says
My 2 cats would love the furminator, well maybe not, but I would 🙂
Kristine says
I would like to be entered in both, please! The first for my dog and the second for my cat. The cat’s undercoat is atrocious all year long and the furminator looks like an excellent solution.
Thanks!
Jazmia says
I need the furminator! My predominately black wardrobe has never been the same since my white ball of fluff came into my life!
Monique says
I would love to have Brooke entered in the John Paul giveaway (not me – I’m not a dog – I do however have fingers so I can type) She would LOVE to get he photo taken with Santa but the only person so far that has been able to give her a bath without issue is her daddy, and she just ran out of shampoo :(. Could you help her smell sweet & look beautiful for Santa?
lin says
Would like to get either. The furminator would be great for the kitties at the shelter where I volunteer, and so would the eye wipes. The tooth wipes I would hoard for my own usage (don’t really feel up to wiping strange cats’ teeth anyway).
Bridget says
I would like to enter both contests please. Love my furminator, but we might need a second one soon. The wipes sound interesting!
Leigh says
oooh, Furminator! I have heard that it is wonderful, but never tried it myself…
Jamie says
I already have a furminator, so the wipes would be awesome to try!
Carla says
Enter me in both, please.
NVbecca says
I have four long haired cats I would love the fuminator for. I also have two large dogs. If it works on the cats I will definatley be buying one for the dogs
TaxiLab says
I would like to be entered into the wipes contest. I have the Paul Mitchell waterless shampoo for dogs and it works great (and smells REALLY good!)
On another note, yesterday I noticed my black lab Guinness was blowing his coat. I started picking out the tufts of hair off his back end and legs and OH MY! The amount of hair I had at the end would fill a grocery bag! And even though I was holding it as I picked it out, there were still tufts allllll over the floor. Should have taken him outside but it’s way too cold here in Ohio at the moment.
Ashley K says
I would LOVE the furminator. I have been trying to find a good undercoat brush forever! My carpets and couches need saving desperately! 🙂
Susan Montgomery says
I have the Furminator, and love it! To look at Finn (140 pound Irish Wolfhound), you wouldn’t think there would be much fur to shed, but every time I use it we get enough to make a Yorkie. I also have my own tooth brushing tools, so I don’t need either one, but thought I would comment anyway. If you want to enter me in either, I will donate what I win to Fido’s for Freedom to be used on the dogs they train.
louise corkum says
both please .Have 2 dogs and a long haired kitty.
Lauren Egier says
I would love to be entered in both giveaways. I have an 8-year-old rescue Bull Terrier named Tazz. We’ve had him for 2 years and he filled the void after our first Bull Terrier passed. He would love the Paul Mitchell wipes to keep him clean and smelling fresh. If I win the Furminator, I would give it to my aunt for her cats. They’ve fallen on hard times and have had to start feeding their cats a lower quality food. As a result, they are shedding a lot more. I’d love to give her a Furminator to help with keeping the fur off the floor.
Steph B says
I could use both! There’s a constant battle between me and the furballs in our house. My husband has started cracking Monty Python bunny jokes about them. o_O I swear I vacuum regularly….
Cathey says
Just an FYI-The Furminator is AWESOME! We use it all the time on our cocker and golden and it really helps keep the fur bunnies down. I would be most anxious to have the wipes, though. Thanks, Dr. V.
Ashley says
I’d love to enter both! My border collie sheds like crazy, and my golden gets so much dirt in his ears (does ANYONE else have a dog that drags his face across mud?!), the wipes would be handy. 😀
lggbie says
don’t need one, I have one, but wanted to say the FURminator is the best invention in the history of pet inventions. SO awesomely effective on my double-coated doggies.
Elliott says
I’d like to enter both – my English bullie sheds like whoa and we have to clean her face folds every night. Either product would make the tasks easier!
Mary Preston says
The Furminator is brilliant. I would love this thanks.
Rebecca says
I’d like to enter both please. My big weim would love to be a Paul Mitchell guy. (He’s good looking enough to have “metro” tendencies.)
The two kitties I have would love me to pamper them a little more with a good brushing now and then. Naveen would love it ALL the time but Nala prefers to do her own scheduling. 😀
K. Richarardson says
Would love the kitty Furminator. I have a very large orange cat who sheds like there’s no tomorrow!
Roxanne says
Can the Tooth and Gum Wipes be used for kitties, too? Two of my Fur Persons have a tendency to dental and gum disease. I love the Eye Wipes. My latest Furry Family Member, a Flame Point Siamese, always has runny eyes. And the Furminator! I have long wanted one for my Very Furry Annabelle. She has an undercoat that traditional brushes don’t even touch.
I greatly enjoy reading your blog. Thank you.
dawn says
I’ve been wanting to try a Furminator so that would be my pick.
Hope says
Furminator please. Our cat, who hates the dog, loves rolling all over and licking the tumbleweeds that result from the dog’s brushing. He’ll even pull them out of the waste basket. He’s a strange old man.
H Price says
Our posse rules with 4 Himalayans and a Persian ~ what a wonderful Christmas Gift the Paul Mitchell Wipes and the Furminator would make! My life revolves around wiping and fur. The wipes would be great for on the go and I think the Furminator would probally make bathtime and blowdrying alittle easier? I’m sure the kids would appreciate that! We’ll all keep out paws crossed…!!
Bella ~ Sabian ~ Lexxi ~ Phoenix ~ Diesel ~ & mom

both please as my mini doxie could use the wipes after rolling in some not so good smelling things and my 10 year old long hair ragdoll cat Shadow would like some extra grooming for feeling good–they both thank u for the chance !
Diane says
We would LOVE the cat Furminator in this house!

Thank You!

I’d love both, pretty please! I recommend Furminators left and right to my clients but don’t have one yet myself (bad trainer, bad!) and the wipes sound terrific. Thanks!
