I slack therefore I am.

A few things:

1. You all have sent in some truly horrible fashion. Thank you for this. It’s amazing. Submission deadline is tomorrow but it will probably take me the weekend to actually go through it all, so I’ll announce the winner next week (if I can pick one, if not I’ll make you all vote). If I wore it all at once I would look just like Helena Bonham Carter at the Golden Globes. Delightful.

2. Remember the AKC Eukanuba show I was fortunate enough to attend in December? It’s airing Sunday on ABC at 2 EST/PST, 1 om CST. There is a chance you might catch a glimpse of me furtively typing and asking the bloggers on either side of me what kind of spaniel that was again in the background.

I have more pictures from the event to post but I thought it would be more fun to do that after anyone who’s interested has a chance to see the show, so that will be next week too. In the meantime, myself, the great blogging team from Eukanuba and my fellow bloggers Susi and Jeni will all be popping in having a Twitter party during the show, so feel free to log on if you’re watching! It will be a lot of fun- the pomp and circumstances of these shows are always really enjoyable. If only it were black tie and we had gowns to trash talk!

3. My On Safari post in progress is taking longer than expected, so I continue to be behind in making picture posts. Soon! Very soon.Β I really thought I would have more time after the holidays for working on this stuff, but that was before I signed the kids up for 52311 after school activities.

I don’t remember doing this much stuff when I was a kid, but compared to the moms I overheard at dance talking about how they were signing Pookie up for private jazz lessons and taping the class so they could drill their kids on the moves, I am a veritable slacker-ama. I just bury my head in National Geographic and try not to catch their glitter-shadowed eye. When they see what I’m reading they leave me alone since no one else wants to talk about the world population reaching 7 billion.

4. I made zucchini bread this week. I also bought donut pans. Do you see where this inevitably is going?

Gas, grass, or balance it on your face, no one eats for free in this house.

Can’t wait for the dog show on Sunday! In the meantime I’ll just have to check into the “dog with a doughnut” photo each day! Miss Fiona is WAY to fidgety and un-athletic (I’ve never seen such a Golden klutz!) to make that photo ever happen at our house!
