Giveaway Tuesday: End Cat Boredom!

June 26, 2012 by Dr. V

Easier said than done, right? How do you motivate a couch catato to get their keister off the ottoman and go run around? If you have a surefire trick, well, patent it, because the rest of us have to keep trying new things.

Friskies is on a mission to help with their “End Cat Boredom” campaign, which albeit tongue in cheek addresses a real issue. In support of the campaign, they are offering some Boredom Buster kits, and by some I mean FIFTY, to you guys. Which is awesome, right?

The kits include the following:

A sample of Friskies Party Mix, which is like that Chex mix I can’s stop eating, but for cats:

AND a Zoomer puzzle feeder for you to hide the treats in, so they can feel like they are hunting and all of that predatory stuff that gets them going:

So! Get that sloth off the couch and chasing treats! I’m going to make it easy:

First 25 comments here get one. Just leave a comment, whatever you want. THEN EMAIL ME YOUR SHIPPING INFO WITH THE SUBJECT “Friskies” and make sure you tell me who you are in the comments so I can track them. And that’s it!

I will also have 25 to give away on Facebook this afternoon. Yaay!

The Friskies really do look like Chex! But with fish shapes! (So going to mix goldfish with my Chexmix now…) Can’t wait to see how the puzzle feeder works with the kitties!

Mine do pretty well with the laser toy, but only for short bursts of time – otherwise they lose interest!

My kitties love Da Bird, but I’m sure they’ll love a toy that involves treats too!

This would be awesome for Alley, as she will be staying home alone (with a petsitter stopping by daily) while we go on vacation. A little extra incentive to move while we’re gone, plus something new to occupy her time, is just what she needs! 🙂 She might share the party mix with the kitty across the street though and just use her boring, one-ingredient treats in the Zoomer due to her food allergies.

Hmmmm. I wonder if my cats would go for this or if they would just wait untilthe dog found it and ripped it open before they attack him and eat the treats. I have at least one of the 3 that I think would try it. Having cats that only recently discovered treats and are generally not food motivated who knows.

i hope I get one! I have a new young kitten who had a rough start in life…she was dumped with her kittens, she was no more than 6 months old. She ran up to me at my gate at my brother’s farm as I was leaving that night. She was starving, only weighed 5 pounds. I did not know anything about the kittens until the next day. Some teens had found them in the middle of the road. I tried to locate them but could not find out who the teens were. Now “ANGEL” is living the life she deserves, as a kitten~! Ah, she has been spayed, treating her for upper resp. infection, and now lyzine, to stop it from recurring. She is wide open all the time in the house and is driving my Siamese ‘old man’ meezer crazy 🙂 But, now he is getting young again as he has a spring in his step!
