Mountain biking is a lot like veterinary medicine

April 11, 2013 by Dr. V

When I first began practice as a veterinarian, it took all of about three months before I got tossed out on my own. This was not by choice, mind you. My clinic had opened up a satellite office and sent my ‘mentor’ over to staff the place, leaving me at the main clinic with a couple other part time vets. I think for now, in order to keep it simple, I have two main goals for us in the next few months: 1. Learn to paddleboard (me first, then I'll throw him on and see what happens.) 2. Get back into ... Resolved: What’s yours?

December 27, 2011 by Dr. V

This has been a banner couple of weeks for pet misbehavior. Brody really brought his A game this month. It's a miracle he didn't need some sort of ER visit, truly. Now, I know this is my fault for not making him tired enough. He's been off because of all the changes in his routine, and I've been travelling, sick, and doing all sorts of things that don't include giving him enough exercise, so that the smallest insults such as leaving the house for half an hour leave him with no choice except ...
