When I first began practice as a veterinarian, it took all of about three months before I got tossed out on my own. This was not by choice, mind you. Who needs Crossfit when you have a dog?
Like many of you, I started this new year with an extra pound or two that leaped- LEAPED, I tell you- onto my hips when I wasn't looking. The cookies held me down by force and shoved themselves into my unwilling face at the Christmas party. Get Down Tonight
OK, so we haven't tried canicross yet, though the concept that "your dog is actually supposed to be pulling you" is quite compelling since that is kind of how it goes now anyway. The thought of tying Brody to a bicycle seat, scooter, or anything with wheels fills me with a deep sense of dread. This has been a banner couple of weeks for pet misbehavior. Brody really brought his A game this month. It's a miracle he didn't need some sort of ER visit, truly. Now, I know this is my fault for not making him tired enough.
