When Irish eyes are smilin’

March 17, 2010 by Dr. V

Did you know Emmett’s original name was Seamus? He was a right red lad, that he was. And each day, Brody looks more and more like him. I wouldn’t have chosen that- in fact I was pretty clear I did NOT want that- but now that he’s here, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

And trust me, that little leprechaun is an Irish rogue through and through. So in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I will once again impose upon you with my bad poetry skills. Limericks, of course.

Remember, there is no such thing as a good limerick, ok? Be gentle.

Koa Go Bragh!

The lab who is happy and fed

Seldom needs to get up from her bed;

But don’t get yourself fooled,

If you grab at her food

She will jump up and chomp off your head.

I’ve Got Yer Rainbow Right Here, Lassie

There was a young Golden named Brody

Whose habits were awfully grody

He loved to eat wax

When his bowels relaxed

The results were a vivid Crayola-y.

    I love it that “Licky” wears a hat! (Although they could both be called Licky in these two pictures!) Top ‘o the morning to Brody, Koa, Apollo and the whole Dr. V clan!

    Although I have a soft spot in my heart for the Brodeter, I have to say Licky is quickly becoming my fave. Probably because I have my own Licky at home. So sweet, the smoochers. (Bitey is still plenty gorgeous and lovely.)
